Taking a deep dive into some of the science of essential oils here. I am sharing a scientific meta-analysis of some of the chemistry of various essential oils that we often use to help fight disease.

I'm sharing this because there is chatter on the web about essential oils exacerbating covid by 'boosting' the immune system. The belief is that the oils could cause auto-immunity imbalance leading to 'long covid" symptoms.
My understanding of essential oils is that they do not create more immune cells, but they assist your immune system by providing an addition means of attack on foreign bodies. (bacteria, viruses)
As the attached article gets into a lot of chemical terms, I thought I'd translate some of those here first.
Eugenol = Clove oil
Carvacrol = Oregano oil
Anethole = Anise, Star Anise and Fennel oils
Cinnamaldehyde = Cinnamon Bark oil
Thymol - Thyme oil
Pulegone = Peppermint oil
Farnasene = Apple skins and other fruit skins
