Did you know that everything vibrates? Every stone, drop of water, air molecule, cell in your body.... everything vibrates all the time. This is simply science. You may remember your high school chemistry class where you learned that one of the differences between a gas, a liquid, and a solid was the speed at which the molecules were vibrating. Even the molecules in a piece of granite vibrate.
Now here's where it gets really interesting! Did you know that emotions have different vibrations? Think about depression. Does a sad person move quickly or slowly? What does their speech sound like? Breathing? Yes - it's all low and slow. Depression is way down near the bottom of the emotional vibration scale. In contrast, Joy is way up near the top - it's a much faster, lighter vibration. I bet you can feel the difference.
OK - think about this. We know that like attracts like - especially when it comes to energy vibration. So if you are sad, and you have this low, slow energy vibration throughout your body, you will likely attract more sad, depressing people and situations. Yuck!
On the other hand, when you are buzzing around, smiling, feeling happy, your vibration is much higher, faster and lighter. You in turn will attract more joy like a magnet! Isn't that what you want?
Want to know how to get there? The best way I know is to think of something you are grateful for. If this is tough, start with the basics. "I am grateful that I woke up this morning." "I am grateful that I can see, hear, speak, eat....." As you continue with this, your vibration will slowly rise along with your mood. Your gratitude list will get longer too.
