I've also talked quite a bit about the levels of vibration - how sadness or grief is a very low and slow vibration while joy and passion are high and fast vibrations.
So what does this have to do with prayer?
What vibration is your body holding when you are in this prayer? Worry? Fear? Grief? Pretty low vibrations. You are focused on what you don't want instead of what you do want. Your whole body is vibrating with the energy of what you don't want, and guess what... you are unwittingly sending a message to the Universe that you are only able to receive more of that same energy. Yikes! Not what you want?
What if instead your prayer is one of gratitude. How do you do that when you are in a state of fear or worry? Keep it general. For example, "I am so grateful that money is an energy that wants to flow to me!" "I am so grateful that our cells are amazing intelligent beings capable of repairing themselves!" "I am so grateful for the abundance that flows through the Universe, and that it grows all the time!" "I am so grateful for all of the amazing experiences yet to come for me!"
Can you feel the vibration shifting in your body when you say these statements? Your body thrives on HOPE and LOVE. Those vibrations will attract more of the same from everywhere around you. When your intention is focused on Gratitude, God/Universe can't help but give you more of what you are grateful for. This is simply the way this world works.
Try changing the way you pray to a focus on what you love and what your are grateful for already; then see what shifts in your world. I'd love to hear what you notice.
